As per the tradition of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, and his companions - parents may show this gratitude by sacrificing animals (such as sheep, goats, camels) and prepare a meal from the meat and invite the community, including the poor to share in the joyous occasion.

Parents, who are unable to perform Aqiqah themselves, can send money to AlHaqq Foundation to sacrifice an animal on their behalf and distribute the meat to the poor.

As per the example of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, Aqiqah for a male child costs $240 for sacrificing 2 goats, and for a female child costs $120 for sacrificing 1 goat.
